Who is this suitable for?

This is an extremely popular first aid qualification as it enables employers to comply with the minimum requirements of the Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations. It is particularly suited for those working in shops, offices and other low risk environments.

Which candidates can attend?

Candidates should be over 16 years of age and possess at least Level 1 Numeracy and Literacy, or the equivalent. Should those under 16 complete this qualification, employers should not rely on them to be the sole provider of first aid.

When and where does the course take place?

This course is of 6 hours duration and is delivered over one day. Training can be given at your workplace on a date and time to suit you. Alternatively, you can go ahead and book on one of our open courses which are perfectly suited to individuals looking to take part in this training.

Course syllabus

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
Be able to assess an incident
Be able to provide first aid to
- an unresponsive casualty
- a casualty who is choking
- a casualty with external bleeding
- a casualty who is in shock
- a casualty with minor injuries

Group bookings (up to 12 learners) £525
(discounted to £375 for 6 or fewer)*

*plus venue hire if not at your own premises

Individuals (open courses) £105

All costs include the provision of a First Aid
Manual as well as full certification.

6 hours guided learning – over 1 day
(excluding breaks)

Yes, and it is valid for 3 years
