Who is this suitable for?

This 1 hour Anaphylaxis Course is suitable for anyone who works in an environment where an anaphylactic reaction or anaphylactic shock may occur. It helps to provide a greater awareness of the causes and recognition of an anaphylactic reaction as well as the treatment and management of such a situation. It includes the use of auto injector devices. The course uses the Anaphylaxis Campaign’s allergy-wise material as endorsed by The Anaphylaxis Campaign and the RCN.

Which candidates can attend?

Candidates should be over 16 years of age and possess at least Level 1 Numeracy and Literacy, or the equivalent.

When and where does the course take place?

This is a 1 hour course completed on the same day. Training can take place at your workplace on a date and time to suit you.

Course syllabus

Identify common triggers for anaphylaxis
Explain how to minimise the risk of an an allergic reaction
Recognise suspected anaphylaxis
Identify how to administer first aid for a casualty suffering from anaphylaxis
Demonstrate the correct use of approved adrenaline autoinjectors

How much does this first aid course at work cost?

In-house £150

All costs include the provision of a First Aid
Manual as well as full certification.
